  It is the best facility for mental health service delivery in south-south and south-east zones of Nigeria, and definitely one of the best in Nigeria It offers a wide range of services, including emergency, radiological, laboratory and general hospital services for physical and psychological conditions. Additionally, it offers the best psychological services to its teeming clientele across diverse age groups. These include child and adolescent mental health services, model treatment services for substance abuse, old age mental health services, forensic mental health services, and community psychiatric services. Acutely psychologically ill clients are evaluated in assessment and emergency with rapid commencement of treatment. It utilises multidisciplinary team approach in patient care, which involves allied mental health professionals coming together to purposefully plan the treatment of each client. Doctors, psychologists, pharmacists, nurses, occupational therapist, social workers, biostatiticians, all contribute in the multidisciplinary approach employed by the hospital in its delivery of quality care to patients
